Chemical resistant PTFE coatings operate in by far some of the harshest of performance conditions, many applications require resistance to strong acids, PFA coating is well suited for this application. PTFE coatings are capable of operating at extremes of temperatures without degradation or loss of performance, thus enabling equipment to operate at greater limits, enhancing product performance and value.
Fasteners benefit from the high build products that give added protection under severe conditions within the chemical industry. Processing chambers and valves also gain an advantage from the range of PTFE coatings available, particularly with the new generation of exhaust abatement systems being designed and manufactured for both environmental and safety requirements.
PTFE coatings for process plan equipment provides a superior barrier for many product types and barrier coatings can operate at high or low temperatures and give a high degree of product enhancement. PTFE coatings can be applied in varying thicknesses, dependant upon the process and materials that are being processed. PFA is an ideal candidate for the chemical process industry, giving high resistance to creep and retention of properties during service at 260°C (500°F) with useful properties at 95°C (-320°F), PFA is also FDA compliant.
