Temperature Resistant Coating & Stability

PTFE has the unique ability to remain stable at extreme temperatures of +260°C continuously and +290°C for short periods. Temperatures as low as -270°C can be tolerated. Thin coatings respond almost immediately to temperature changes retaining all the other qualified benefits without delaminating from the substrate. These properties can be best illustrated when used in the cooking and processing of food, moulding/forming and sealing of plastics and eleastomers.

Cryogenic Stability
Many Teflon® industrial coatings withstand severe temperature extremes without loss of physical properties. Teflon® industrial coatings may be used at temperatures as low as -270°C/-454°F.

Industrial products made with Teflon® fluoropolymer resins have exceptional resistance to high temperatures, chemical reaction, corrosion, and stress-cracking. The properties of Teflon® make it the preferred plastic for a host of industrial applications.
